Web 2.0
            YouTube is not is not a useful Web 2.0 technology in the classroom nor does it support teacher professional development due to its lack of filters. Unfortunately this particular technology used for sharing videos does not provide a clean educational platform for learning. While it is very popular and has a great following it is better left out of the technological tools that can be used for education al purposes. Blogs however, are quite useful for classroom interaction regarding topics discussed as part of the learning content. Blogs can be contained within a specific group and topic unique to the class using it. It is the same as creating a thread I a classroom discussion. Student safety as mentioned in the podcast is always the first concern for any teacher. It is important to always consider the risks involved when deciding what interactive platforms to use with students in the classroom.

Web 2.0 Tool Use
            Powtoon is the animated presentation tool that allows users with no technical or design skills to create professional, colorful and visual engaging animation which is the combination of presentation and animated cartoon. You can access powtoon here http://www.powtoon.com/. This technology is free to sign up and use. It is very user friendly and has many useful presentation ideas for virtually any topic. I would recommend this to my students and encourage it use when preparing classroom presentations in a fun, non-professional platform that engages the attention of students.

Education Technology Advancement
                The Digital Projector is a unique tool that works with a computer to project its digital images in a much larger format but still in real time. It is very useful for large groups such as classrooms as it allows everyone to see the visual images being used for a learning activity. This replaces the use of a blackboard and projects current digital images from a computer and or the internet for interaction with a lesson for student participation and learning.
